It’s a game that ruins (or at the very least taints) friendships.

I’ve been playing Control, which is very cool.

Avi Bro. Cheers, bro.

I took a nap this afternoon, so I guess I missed the meeting where we all agreed that we can only care about one problem at a time.

Completely unrelated to your comment, but: I thought I wrote this for a quick second.

The oldest house is absolutely gorgeous. Every nook and cranny is filled with such staggering attention to detail.

If you’re going to hop into an Arkham game, I really recommend starting with the first game in the series, Arkham Asylum.

Yeah, it does seem like a good Switch game. Since there’s a bunch of dragging and dropping, a touchscreen interface would work pretty well. It’s probably really clunky to play entirely with a controller; I wouldn’t recommend getting it on PS4.

“You think you want it, but you don’t.”

I don’t believe people want to recapture the fun of playing 1.0 WoW, but rather they’re attempting to recapture that moment in their life where they were playing 1.0 WoW. 15 years ago we were all in very different places in our lives with less cares in the world, less stress in

Found a moon with lavender grass today. Very happy.

Yeah, Bound felt like a proof of concept - the design was an interesting take on a child’s fantasy world, but the story and gameplay weren’t very nuanced.  I thought Rime handed this pretty well because the the level design was connected to the reveal, so the ending landed like a gut punch.

I played Don’t Starve Together a few years back, and that was a surprisingly fun multiplayer game. One time my wife equipped her lighter, accidentally burnt one thing in my camp, and then freaked out, running left and right trying to figure out what to do. Meanwhile her lighter was still equipped. She burned down my

Edith Finch in general is great about storytelling via gaming. The cannery section is a stand out, but I also think the basement/railway section does a great job simply by switching the music before each iteration.

I absolutely could not understand Don’t Starve enough to want to play it more than an hour or so. I got the mechanics after a bit and managed to stay alive for a day or two, but then I went down into a cave and a stalactite fell on me and I died. I kind of don’t get the point; I never play roguelikes, so it’s probably

First of all, I want to announce that nominations are now open for the 66th edition of the Game Revue Club in the Gameological group over on Steam:

Doom 2 the Way id Did is a 2013 collaboration where many mappers came together to contribute to a 32-map replacement for all of Doom 2's levels.

Now playing

It is tough to have an introspective experience during an interactive one, their prefixes inherently contradict each other, but certainly sometimes it’s able to be pulled off quite well, it’s just that the player needs to do the heavy lifting and the game needs to stand back and let it happen. If I wasn’t still trying

That’s true, but also way more nuanced than most Hollywood producers are going to get.
