Haven’t tried Little Nightmares. Is the gameplay worth it? I saw a trailer once and didn’t mind it but also felt like I didn’t NEED it, having already played Limbo and Inside. It does look pretty cool, I’ll keep an eye for it in a sale.

I played Dangerous Spacetime with my gf as well and highly recommend it. Good degree of difficulty and not too fast so that communication becomes impossible.
Dunno exactly what you mean with combo co-op but I’m a huge fan of co-op games. Over the past 3 years, I’ve gotten into a few of them. Most of all, Helldivers. Isometric twin-stick shooter, fighting bugs, cyborgs or bots. Lots of weapons, lots of variety and incredibly tense to slowly make your way up from lvl 1 to…
I played for a couple of hours this weekend and really enjoyed it. Am in the underwater town now and the Isi’s religion sure is a departure from the above-ground stuff. And the people under Mother have powers? And the agent had Ivory blood. etc... I’m intrigued for sure.
Looking forward to putting more time in this.…
Onrush’s handling does feel somewhat weightless but it’s suitably responsive and not too janky. I’m in the third series right now and I lost my first race. It does get a bit trickier but all the better. Every race before that, I won plus cleared the challenges first try (except 3).
I’ve played Diablo III for a couple of hours. The two really aren’t comparable. Diablo is your typical hack n slash dungeon game and it’s loads of action fun. Transistor is much slower in its combat (there’s the time-freeze thing) and static. You’ll be running away from enemies a lot more than in Diablo. The only…
I’ve seen Glow! Season 2 was such a step up, one of the best seasons I’ve seen this year. You could feel how the creative vision really gelled together and the writing staff “got it”. Every episode’s storylines always came back to a central theme or character, just amazingly cohesive.
What a great header. So obvious in a way. Shame I missed this on Friday.
Still gonna jump in though (for posterity’s sake!):
That’s a great condensation of what makes the game so great. I’m pretty sure Cull (laser beam?) was always in my best loadouts too, and if Void is that multiplier then I think I got about the same one.
The Ping-central attack Duwease mentioned, I tried as well but didn’t find it as satisfying as the stacked attacks.
What Did You Finish This Week?
(sorry Chum, I gotta run and wanted to post my mini-review)
and more people need to read Waid’s Daredevil run.
I just tried it out and man, that is a fun game. Lunch time activity found!
I actually wrote about Donut County in the Best Games-thread!
Not necessarily the best game but I enjoyed a lot!
Congratulations on becoming a father!
I Liked Donut County
because it was a tactile joy to play with and experience. The core of the game, dropping things into your ever expanding hole, was satisfying and the story and writing around it just made it all the more fun. Best compliment I can give the game is I wanted more of it, bigger levels, more Katamari…
That’s a pretty sweet fistfight and an awesome way to go. Online hasn’t convinced me either. I didn’t want to pass any judgement in my first post because I haven’t played more story missions or done much activities. The goldbar-stuff is a bummer but I hope it can turn into a breathing mini-universe where doing one…
Man, you just made my morning so much better. I got a genuine good laugh from those stories and the bear-loving dwarf. None of my friends share my more fantasy/gamey hobbies but I hope one day I can play D&D and create some of my own stories.
Hear hear! And if now they can make it so that audio from those tapes or whatever keep playing when you exit the menu, that would be perfect. Tomb Raider and Batman Arkham City had this problem both, played them back to back so it really stood out.
I just did a count this week for my backlog and I’m at 40, which was already daunting enough. First gonna clear the 15 or so games I actually paid for, and then I’m gonna delve into my PS Plus backlog.
I’m not counting the games on Steam (20 in total or so) because I just really don’t enjoy sitting at my table playing…
I played and finished Absolver this week, as much as one can finish an online-focused game. The single player-story is a great tutorial and experience in itself, letting you explore the beautiful, low-key environment while easing you into combat. Showing a great sense for aesthetics, the visuals and game as a whole…
