That is a fair point. I may be unfairly conflating options and refinement - if you like the badge and only want the options - but are not concerned with greater refinement, than I could see how the King Ranch would fit the bill nicely.
As a current Explorer owner, I would love to meet the customers that “demanded a King Ranch version” that could just jump to the better refined (and better looking in my opinion) Aviator.

Absolutely agree. I am firmly convinced that the lowrider culture’s widespread use and innovation of air and hydraulic suspension in the late 50's/early 60s paved the way for adoption of airride technologies prevalent in countless resto mods today.
