Oh yeah. Reality. Fuck.

I quit my part-time job last night and I made sure that it was clear that I quit because the owner and her husband are Trump supporters. Probably a rash decision and not at all in the spirit of inclusiveness, but i couldn’t bring myself to make money for them.

I live in NC. The amount of intelligent, decent people who have told me that they either didn’t vote because it didn’t matter, that they thought Clinton was gauranteed the win, or that they voted and just left the president blank because ‘they’re both awful choices’ is disturbing. I feel so betrayed by my country.

Apparently. I’m going to spend today finding out exactly how much I can cry and puke.

I didn’t buy enough alcohol to handle this...

No, I meant disenfranchise, partly because of the connotation of the word. Though disenchanted could certainly describe the state of this state and this region just as well.

Welcome to the new south, latently the same as the old south.

I live in NC (Asheville) and I’ve lived here most of my life. I’m always so saddened by this kind of news. When NC elected McCrory and then he showed who he was and what he was about, it felt like reading Go Set a Watchman, when Scout finds out Atticus has been going to Klan rallies. Really, home state, really?

Starred by a white North Carolinian. It’s been disenfranchising seeing my state’s true nature come out. This is not the NC (or the US for that matter) that I thought I grew up in.

I didn’t even know cousins could bread.

Yeah. I see four images. Two of Trump with Karen McDougal and two of her with other people while wearing the same dresses.

I know, I mean I put ‘shocking’ in quotes intentionally. It’s clear where theyve staked their tent. It’s not so much that this is actually surprising or that it is worse than anything Trump has done before. It’s that this would bury any past candidate.

I guess all that started again after I stepped away from my phone. I’m not seeing any of those kinds of images anymore. Didn’t mean to not dismiss people. That stuff is gross and awful.

it could be framed that way by any good lawyer. Taking ownership of a story that can make a candidate look bad and doing nothing with it could easily be considered a campaign contribution in-kind. And they clearly havent claim that contribution because that would expose the story. It’s not a clearly defined illegal

At the very least it takes away from Trump’s narrative that the media is consipirong against him. This is a case of the media conspiring to aide him.

If it didn’t concern a man running for president that would be true, but buying and doing nothing with it can be considered a campaign donation in-kind, and they haven’t claimed it, so a good lawyer could probably present this as illegal.

But none of that *feels* true to republicans.

That was the grossest trolling I’ve ever seen.

The more ‘shocking’ part is the Enquirer paying to bury it, which can techinically be construed as illegal.
