Given Chuck's long-term, often devious mistreatment of Jimmy and his central role in stealing Kim's client he does not come across as an innocent victim here. The unintended fall and injury were horrific - the public humiliation and loss of client were well-deserved.

I first was the first album, I heard it while an exchange student in Germany right when it came out. Blew me away; I had gone to raves in the early 90s in Detroit but this music was so different, dark and majestic.
Waiting for the Siren's Call itself is a good song. Otherwise, yeah.
It strikes me as a good New Order cover-band doing decent original songs. There's nothing really timeless about it. The only post-New Order work that is almost as good as New Order itself, IMO, is the first Electronic album. (and I include everything by New Order after Republic as post-New Order too)
