I’m confident that social distancing can be achieved at IMS — I attended the last few years of the Formula 1 race there.

For whatever reason, the sauce isn’t anything special on its own — dip the Texas toast in it, meh. But dip their chicken in it and it really creates a great combination of flavors.

Checking in from hurricane country, where I’ve been w/o power for two weeks while others were without water for about same.  After comparing notes, indoor plumbing definitely trumps HVAC.

Yeah, I used to scoff at all of the “pageantry” — just get to the racing! Then I went to last year’s USGP in Austin.

That’s not exactly surprising—Birds Of Prey is structured to essentially introduce one character at a time, and the editing is such that each portion of the film feels like it’s lacking just one more scene to really stick the landing

Yeah, I said the same in the other article about the movie: as far as elevator pitches go, “criminals forced to do government black ops” sounds awesome. “Boomerang guy and girl with baseball bat fight interdimensional demons” sounds... dumb.

Ok can someone explain why Lyft is a creditor.

Same here and about the same age w/ Christine, the passive-aggressive tut-tuts from Mom made it feel like I was finally reading “adult” books.

Yep, actors come and go from shows all the time, but Mandy is who comes to mind when a “name” basically says “I’m outta here.” And you are correct, CM was enough of an ensemble where it could be explained logically.

You just needed

that photo... is trying to look like a Disney animatronic a thing now?

/raises hand

transition into the actual song itself (“Dark Side Of The Moon”) was a neat thematic touch

Me, reading this article:

I’ve been trying to sort out a ranking of the sequel trilogy in my head and it’s... not easy. But expand the list to all five of the Disney-era films and Rogue One is definitely at the top, full stop, no questions asked.

“50 million for the 250 GTO?  But KBB clearly says only 20 million!”

That little reaction shot / fourth-wall break is quite likely my favorite Eddie Murphy moment of all time.

Anyone remember Music Construction Set for the Apple II, from Electronic Arts? Back before they were EA and all-Madden all the time? You basically dragged and dropped musical notes onto a staff and it played the the music back to you. Revolutionary stuff back then.

I’m starting to think getting old = constant state of bewilderment. On the one hand, almost every sentence in this (long) article left me more baffled than the last.  On the other, duh she’s hot and that has never gone out of style.
