I need to rewatch this episode over the weekend because I don't even remember that line from Marissa. My brain couldn't process anything not trial related.

Just googled it and this Illinois Legal Aid site says the 30-day rule applies.
I still mantain that Bishop has someone inside the SA's office. Maybe that'll be the way out for Cary?
It was really difficult for me to pay any attention to the Alicia side. Maybe if they had gone with something more serious that would justify her need to be somewhere else but the court room. As it was, it just irritated me that she wasn't there supporting Cary.
Kalinda turning on Bishop, as a CI, has always been my theory on how Cary would avoid jail. But now he is going to jail. Would it even matter?
He's also lost a significant amount of weight this season, which helps sell the whole ordeal. His face just looks weary.
He really nails those small expressions. Last week, when he was in his office and the thought of being shot in the back of the head. This week, the moment he realized it was all over. It gave me a lump in my throat.
It was disorienting until he misheard the name of the firm, that's when I "got it." I do wonder what was Geneva's plan by bringing Kalinda to testify?
CALLING ALL LAWYERS - is there a legally plausible way to get Cary out of this? Considering he pleaded guilty, I imagine that limits his options drastically.
I… am… speechless. Just shocked and heartbroken. This feels sadistic. Cary's life has been filled with one disaster after another. When will it ever be enough? This is the storytelling equivalent of beating a man while he's down then spitting on his face.
I'm already stressed out and the show starts in 12 hours!!!!
Typical. As soon as I publicly announce my Jane + Michael ship it is destroyed.
Thank goodness I'm not the only weirdo! Her wardrobe and Mindy's make me want to try dresses for awhile. Last time I wore a skirt was 5 years ago.
The angles and the camera really accentuated it during that Bishop scene. Just compare it to the scene with the FBI and it's almost another person.
Any theories on why the episode ended with FBI? Seems odd to end with some minor character and not a single person from the main cast in sight.
I hope the writers are beating themselves up for taking 6 seasons to give him some good material.
That the new "I'm not desperate about anything."
They played that up really well. I laughed when he was in the elevator with the bodyguard, who appears to be almost a foot taller, then when he walked between the bodyguard and Bishop, he looked tiny and oh, so vulnerable.
Interesting reasoning behind the use of the word "girlfriend." It has caused such an uproar in the fans. I wonder why they didn't use the word "ex" which is ambiguous enough to be applied to any non-serious relationship and still achieves the same thing you mentioned?
I see you point. My reaction, and I assume most people's around here, is mostly based on Lana and how it comes off as defending her.
