Hmm, I saw that it appears that Boise, ID, is NOT impacted much by climate change coastal migration. That’s just not right. Boise has a relatively mild winter due to high desert climate so it’s already attracting Californians fleeing high cost of living (though not as much as long timers complain). In addition, it’s

She doesn’t need to give platitudes in response to Graham’s well-founded fears. Even just saying “I hear you and I am here to listen and be there for you” would’ve been more helpful than “haha, I’m socially awkward so I’ll make a lame joke”.

I fully expect a trash fire more because JJ Abrams is a terrible story teller & seems to only be able to rehash other people’s stories. I’ll see it in the theaters though because I hate myself.

Awesome. I am looking forward to more trouble!

I don’t have kids but enjoyed the first season.

I like Looking Glass’ character and Tim Blake Nelson’s performance (assuming the slow drawl & laconic attitude are intentional). [spoiler alert!] Now I am worried that we won’t see him again since we got to see 4 clumsy 7K jerks coming to kill him since he did the bidding to hamstring Angela.

Rogue One is my 3rd favorite movie in the series after Empire & Ep IV. It’s also totally a pessimistic WWII movie set in space. That video was very good and many of her complaints and criticisms are valid. It wouldn’t have been as good at the end as it was if Jyn & Cassian got away.
Another aspect is that it didn’t

Enjoying “Outer Worlds” and “Ghost Recon Breakpoint”. RE: GRB, it’s still got some annoying bugs, but I like the fictional island of Aurora since it avoids the racist conceits of GR Wildlands. I do think that adding in leveling weapons & gear, plus classes with ranks, and also character leveling was a bit too far (I

<Stranger Things spoiler> Ummm, wasn’t Hopper’s truck last seen with an engine fire in the woods? I don’t know that Hopper ever had time to retrieve it.

Yeah, it kinda doesn’t make a lot of sense. Who gets born to whom would start changing drastically as soon as the timelines diverged. So all the people who were born before the split would be the same physically in each reality, but definitely Smith’s children wouldn’t be the same since they are all post-split. And if

I saw a video where the host said that the design team analyzed data from GR Wildlands people got a weapon they liked & stuck with it. Adding the increasing gear levels forces players to switch weapons constantly. The logic reminds me of Destiny’s developers mindset that the players aren’t playing the game correctly.

It’s in the book so bitch at H.G. Wells.
I am excited to see it done as a period piece. Very cool.

There is so much stuff to watch. I may have to quit working to keep up with all the shows that I am interested in.

I liked Boondock Saints when I first saw it, but then the long-awaited sequel was so bad that I now retroactively hate the first one.

Crap, I wanted to bust on Memento, but that came out in 2000. Had a friend who was all ga-ga about what a brilliant movie it was, but I just found it tedious and I was hoping someone would kill the protagonist.

Ugh, the list of characters sounds like a walking collection of tired tropes & cliches. The primary heroine will wear thigh-high leather boots and curse like a sailor coz she’s a rebel in the stuffy Victorian era. Yawn, Wynona Earp does the hard-drinking anti-hero better with their batshit crazy plots.

So we’ll never fulfill the trope of the militaristic Mars colony that rebels against us Earthers? To its credit - Star Trek seems to be the one sci-fi franchise that doesn’t assume huge Mars colonies (IIRC there are research stations there but not much else?).
Great article by the way.

Am I going to be able to attack convoys like in Wildlands? My brother, an XBL friend and I did the entire campaign together and once we exhausted all the zones and missions, all we could do were the convoys. We had so much fun chasing them down, destroying the escorts and looting the truck.

This looks so much more interesting than Season 2's dull “Jessica Jones chills out with her batshit crazy mother.
I will probably watch this but it looks like there’s a lot to it or else the trailer only showed all of the action.

I have HBO and don’t even watch GoT. So, keeping it. Looking forward to the Westworld meets Fight Club of Westworld Season III.
