why do i feel strangely non-plussed? I guess I was expecting actual acceleration.. not just a slow pull-away. that speed differential looked like something between a bmw 325i, and a 335i... definitely not an M3 even. (I had to use a frame of reference everyone could understand)

I will respectfully disagree with the comment on the 1989 R129 SL. It is a modern sculpture in motion. In fact, I will say it is effortlessly more elegant than the preceding R107. Gotta disagree with the R129. Yeah it wasn’t a looker right off the bat, but towards the end of its run it really cleaned up really nicely. IMO, it ended up being one of the most handsome cars Mercedes has put out.

Let this be a reminder to people, check your tire pressures. This is what just 1.5 PSI difference between them will do!
