What I heard was that they originally had plans for Kane to be Octavia's father, but scrapped that idea during the pilot stage.

I thought it was pretty clear. When ALIE brought up the reactors, she mentioned that she had recently DISCOVERED they were melting down.
Killing the Ice Nation doctor was sort of a dick move.
So, really, the show could go another three seasons before this whole "end of the world" thing really needs to be dealt with.
I don't think anyone told him about the oncoming radiation before he skedaddled, though. That might've made him rethink some things.
This was definitely a table-setting episode, or rather, a table-clearing episode, taking care of everything the characters would logically have to take care of after last year's finale before they can move on to a new story.
I can't remember the last time the flashbacks worked so well in conjunction with the present day story.
I think the fact that Team Arrow showed they can effortlessly shut down her sonic scream, and that she got taken down by the villain like a chump, unlike Oliver, mitigates all that.
I assume that Felicity has multiple computers that aren't connected to each other.
Isabel's actually the one who noted that Oliver doesn't seem like the kind of guy who can be friends with a woman he's not sleeping with.
I'm working on the theory that reporter lady is actually Prometheus. From what we've seen of Promtheus, s/he is just obsessive enough to try seducing their arch-enemy.
It feels kinda weird when Agents of Shield does it, though, since it's such a one-way street: they'll reference anything and everything from elsewhere in the MCU, but other MCU properties will never reference them.
Oliver told her not to kill a guy who was already disarmed and had put his hands in the air. The guys in the helicopter were actively shooting at them. Whole different scenario.
Yeah, there's a big difference between shooting someone who's armed and ready to kill you and shooting someone who's put their hands up and surrendered.
I kinda like the idea of this mysterious martial artist who travels the world helping random people achieve their true potential, whether that means helping Oliver become a hero, or helping Prometheus become an obsessive stalker.
Oh, I definitely think that woman is working for Prometheus, and giving her the data drive was part of yet another elaborate plot to hurt those close to Oliver.
Although, this storyline might make upping the stakes for another season kinda difficult.
I want a Roan and Murphy teamup. I think they'd find they have a lot in common.
Their relationship has always seemed kinda brother/sister to me, and we know how overprotective Bellamy gets where his sister is concerned.
My only real complaint with Season 3 was rushing Pike and Bellamy's decision to slaughter the Grounder army. Aside from that one sour note, I thought it was pretty great.
