This, part two. It’s retroactive continuity that Phase 1 was a perfectly assembled machine.

Your average museum attendant living in London is not affording a therapist.
I think some franchises inside the MCU need to become omnibuses the way Captain America kind of was. Like, I really don’t need to see another Eternals flick, but I’d be into them appearing and being an integral part of a guardians movie. Some characters also need to be relegated to supporting cast the way Iron Man was…
They did accomplish the goal of introducing the next generation of characters though. Like almost every project introduced a new character going forward, with the exceptions mainly of Thor (unless Love turns out super important) and Spider-Man. Otherwise we get in order: White Vision, Agatha, Monica Rambeau, Falcon 2…
My guess is he’s a Republican who doesn’t like Trump.
“The Democratic Party doesn’t represent anything that I think, and neither does the Republican Party *right now* ...”
Yes, the central theme had definitely been of everyone dealing with the aftermath, while this multiverse threat grows because everyone is too self-involved to be paying attention. There’s a sub theme of heroic legacy, with lots of new heroes taking up the mantles of old ones.
Stubbing your toe sucks.
True, but usually when people like Costner say the Democrats suck, it’s not for the reasons they actually suck.
Was Loki low stakes? I thought the existence of all histories hung in the balance by the end of that.
I mean, didn’t they explicitly say that Phase 4 was going to be about everyone grappling with the struggle of getting back to life after The Snap, and dealing with the trauma and grief of both that and The Battle of Upstate New York?
What’s the point of a Black Adam movie without Shazam, especially the current cinematic one? Dwayne Johnson is a great comedic actor. He should be trading insults with Zachary Levi. This sounds like a huge waste of his talents.
‘Rachel Getting Married’ is actually the first thing I saw Hathaway in. I’d heard of her before, but had no opinions about her. As soon as I saw the film, I was thinking, “This is one seriously fantastic actor.”
She was fantastic in Catwoman. You know what else she was great in? Get Smart. I’m not kidding.
No, that would be a Fish burn.
Awkward phrasing on my part. I was trying to say Adams is biologically old enough to be J-Law’s mother (16 years) but trying to acknowledge that it would be icky if someone knocked her up at 16.
I’ll take the “L” and show myself out.
She does, but she’s also sneakily older. She is almost old enough to be J-Law’s mother and it NOT be statutory rape. (She’s 16 years older)
Lawrence is totally an on-line child. Adams was probably in college before she got her first e-mail address. Hathaway is in that weird in-between space.
There really is no rhyme…
Yep. Which I felt was unfair since she basically became the face of derision towards the mediocre Les Mis movie. People laughed at Russell Crowe’s singing a bit but that was about it. I never understood why she took shit for her Catwoman either, since I thought she nailed that character.
That was my first reaction, but thinking about it, it’d be weirder for every universe to have the same numbering - it's weird enough that they don't all call themselves "universe 1".
They very much fucked up by calling the MCU 616. It literally flies in the face of the numbering concept.
