I’m not sure how that quote shows any “anarchism” as such. Either Hoffman was trying to be sarcastic or he really bought into the “Age of Aquarius” mysticism that unfortunately infected the hippie movement and which helped bring discredit to the anti-war movement by making it look silly.

Apparently it’s coming to Amazon Prime in Canada later on this month, so there’s hope for the non USA-ians.

I’ll bet you a dollar we could switch a wisecracking street grifter with an ivy league stockbroker and they’d, well, I forget the point but it’d be a laugh riot.

I would forgive a lot about this show if they just have him stay on forever, planning Harry’s wedding with a long white beard.

I am beginning to wonder, given the considerable popularity of this series, if new generations are going to have a fleeting but fallacious grasp on this 50+ year history of The Royals? The adaptation is a masterpiece unless you were a fan of the batshit crazy Walt Disney serial killer storyline.

Both of her parents were born in Israel, and her father’s family had lived in Israel (or the land that became Israel) for six generations. Gal Gadot is about as “European” as anyone nicknamed “Sully” in Boston.

I’m sure we’ll get some bad faith arguments pretending that every Harry Truman biopic needs somebody who was born in Independence Mo.

Fast Travelled GOT style.

I will probably see this eventually, because I love Regina King and want to support her work. But man, do I struggle to watch anything that features Jim Brown as a character. This quote struck me in particular, because Brown’s off the field life and legacy are conflicted at best:
