It’s funny that the first two seasons together covered about twelve years (in the main, from the death of George VI to the Profumo Affair) whereas, based on events shown in this trailer, the third is going to cover at least that much time — we’ve got the arrival of Harold Wilson (1964) to events from the late 1970s

There’s no more respectful tribute they could pay Nicole than exonerating the man who killed her.

Watching the new Nancy Drew right after this (which I’m not sure I would be on its own, but as long as South Park’s new episodes air at 11, I’ve got an hour to kill between Riverdale and then so I figure I might as well give it a shot) really serves to highlight this show’s strengths even more. I don’t necessarily

In a flashback to the aftermath of season two’s marathon “4 Days Out” cook, Walter paternalistically urges Jesse to go to college, and asks him what he’d study. “Sports medicine?” Jesse throws out, but Walter has something else in mind—business, maybe management. Walter’s vision narrows to the width of a sniper’s

Sherman Palladino’s past track record is not encouraging on that score.

Also, when the group gathers to say a prayer for Fred, the prayer Doherty uses is the Apostle’s Creed.  That’s either an astute writing choice to depict her as somebody who isn’t very familiar with praying, or the writers themselves don’t have much experience with Christianity, because the Apostle’s Creed is a

An effective episode, and I had forgotten that Shannen Doherty was announced as being on the show until she appeared. That was really well-done.

It’s not a cameo, she’s seemingly a major character.

Sorry, no, don’t think there are in fact a ton of movies critiquing the Church. Also I can’t remember too many movies relying on conspiracy theories about an actual historical event getting made in the first place.

I doubt it was a narrow loss. Dances was a phenomenon that year, and Godfather III didn’t win any of its nominations, which isn’t a sign of strength.

Disliking the idea of basing the movie’s plot around conspiracy theories about an actual historical event is not the same thing as objecting to critiques of the Church. Cripes, there have been so many movies that do that and have received tons of acclaim.

Of course, extending the critique to the Church was a step too far, hence the absurd belief the third movie is somehow terrible.

And yet with that masterful slow zoom, the uninterrupted shot of a man talking as the camera slowly pulls out from his face, director Francis Ford Coppola introduces his themes and brings us into the world of the film. He’s showing us America as a rotten place, and he’s showing us vulnerable people who need to do

This show has a lot that I really enjoy, but boy is there a lot of scattershot narrative development here.  In particular, the climax is supposed to be a big “reunite the band” moment, but it includes a number of characters (Astrid, most obviously, but also Skye in most meaningful senses) who were never part of the

I believe every season is meant to be a different campaign being run by Platt’s character.

And?  It’s nominated.  As long as a show is released in the US it’s eligible.

And of course in Rambo III dude teams up with Osama bin Laden... to destroy an entire country and turn it into a failed state... because yet again some brown people dared to defy their Great White Father across the sea and be commies.

Bradley wasn’t submitted.

The working class hero completely adopts the ethos of a rigid upper class institution.
