Why are you posting all this in what is supposed to be an individual episode thread?

I was disturbed by the way that Susie literally pushes a black female poet off the stage in order to make way for Midge—would a male comic, or a white female performer have been kicked off in this same manner? Was this a deliberate critique of white feminism? Or just a tone-deaf moment?

China accounted for a bit less than a quarter of WW’s overseas box office, so the odds of the studio voluntarily foregoing that are infinitesimal.

Are you allowed to depict homosexuality onscreen in China? I was given to understand that’s generally a no-no with them, and if so, there’s no way that Wonder Woman is going to feature any same-sex relationship for Diana (at least, not one outside of a quick scene or allusion that can be edited out).

K.A. Applegate already basically wrote that postscript in the final book.

The first time we see Immortan Joe, we see his repulsive back lesions. Then we see his underlings putting plastic armor covered in fake medals over that mottled skin. And we see Joe standing before the people he’s oppressing, bellowing, “I am your redeemer!” As luck would have it, Donald Trump declared his

In the night’s most shocking plot twist, Cheryl turns out to be...a talented artist! Oh, and she’s also gaslighting Josie for some reason.

Yeah, I don’t get it either. Maybe their parents moved in the same circles, but Josie’s whole thing is being #woke, whereas Cheryl is concentrate of white privilege. You’d think Josie wouldn’t be able to stand her.

back in S1 didn’t jug say Chuck and the football team would do some fucked up shit that would never be forgotten or something

wait. You said she was highly acclaimed and had won many awards for many films.

Batman vs. Superman also had sterling reviews kiddo.

I’ve enjoyed the show so far.

Let’s see, on my side for the case re: Lorde we have that Lorde has released two albums with consistently sterling reviews and which were commercial successes and (in the case of the former) very influential in the direction pop music has taken subsequently (as seen by the emergence of imitators like Alessia Cara),

I just said you’re in a minority of believing Lorde is great. You are. Period.

So basically, anyone who doesn’t share your opinion has been bought off or otherwise deceived by hype and thus their views don’t count.

The “highly acclaimed” part denotes that she has received critical praise precisely from people who judge music (see also, my reference to “favourable notices”), much like Jolie has received quite a lot of critical praise over the years from serious film critics and her acting peers. You are also in the minority in

Sherman-Palladino escaped to 1958 in the hopes that people will stop bugging her about cast diversity.

Uh, dude, Lorde is a highly acclaimed, popular musician, and her second album sold very well and attracted very favourable notices. That by no means requires that you like her, but “Lorde is a good musician” is not a minority opinion.
