I can totally relate. We got married on a hillclimb race weekend-on the top of Burke Mt Vt.

It took all these years just to update the Transalp?

1: Not a duallie.

@ 5:10—love the sharpie notes on the canopy.

Back in the hayday, Callaway’s were sold thru Chevy dealers-AND Chevy would warranty them. How often you hear of a tuner getting that much trust?

As I heard a DJ put it about Bono “If you can’t actually walk on water, don’t assume the position!”

Years back,I worked maintaining a collection of brass era cars. I’ve seen that patent license plaque on a few cars.

My #1 fav car since it came out. Closest I came to driving one is when a good Group B mod came out for rFactor-so I could race it on my simulator. As the saying goes-don’t meet you heros. The Audi + Lancia are much better cars to drive.

Really? You price out what Land Cruiser bring lately? $30 to $75k is new normal.

The future: drivers not needed-just rules required ballast.

I used to ice race with a guy with a CR480. I’d pull in the parking lot + he’d be kicking, I park-say hello to everyone-unload my SR500-suit up-gas the bike-give one slow test kick-then start it on the second kick- warm it up—and he’d STILL be kicking the f’in thing!

Its not a choke-it just increases the speed a few hundred rpm. It cracks the butterflies a bit. It just makes it start easier-and controls stalling for the first 30 seconds off cold. I know Hayabusas have it too.

Oh boy! There is gonna be a baby boom in L.A. (lower Alabama) next Feb.!

An extra Pabst for the safety chain.

It not racing until some cheats. Heres how we did.

When is a likely case this happens? Not at a speed where you can lay it down. Its coming to a stop sign-wobbling at 2 mph-you pull in the clutch expecting foward motion to stop-and it doesn't. Grab a handful of front brake with a big torquey motor chugging away and watch what happens. I bet I'd crash it half the time

I gotta say this is the most un-informed post on the internet right now.

I want to see where in the rules it says you'll get penalized for not spraying champane.

I know if I were 78 years old (or any age) I wouldn't want a rusty 40+ year old cage around me. And I'd want shocks that didn't kill my back-and a dependable motor.
