I have a pen that's made out of Koa wood that's one of my faves. Since Koa is an endangered tree in Hawaii, you need special permission to harvest the wood - only after the tree dies. Definitely a conversation starter.

@studio12: What a crazy looking pen! Looks like a tire pressure gauge.

@Greetings-I-come-from-afar: Since I wasn't a math major at any point in my life, I'm going to assume that those equations are pretty impressive when calculated. I mean, when WA does 'em, they look nifty.

@techstar25: I'm not cybersquatting for the purpose of selling the domains. I eventually plan to use the domains I own.

After seeing the results, I've started moving two of my domains over to Namecheap. They're 60% less than what my current registrar charges.

I gather I'm in the wrong business. I would love to be paid to eat junk to prove a theory.

My question is there a way to create a Hackintosh with a laptop purchased from Dell, HP, etc.?

@Hasteur: I was on vacation the past week and half - rough life -

Hi all! Happy Friday!

Curses! The Lifehacker kiss has crashed their server... site's down ATM.

6 hours to vacation. Caribbean here I come!

I used to work for a company that sold appliances - the extended warranties they would sell as "protection" for the investment are pure profit. Truth be told, all extended warranty programs, even those offered by Best Buy, are huge profit centers.

@Mickets: You win. I surely don't compare to those who are on the clock 24/7 (firefighters come to mind)... and I usually have to work only an 8 hour day, so the 15 hour days is a drag!

@etaylor3971: I was born and raised in San Diego... not any more! L.A. is my home now.

@y0urm0msname: I really enjoy my job. Just sometimes, there are deadlines that come up that need to be met and that usually means late nights.

I've worked 30 hours the past two days and what really sucks is that I'm salaried. I'm soooooo tired! I really hope I don't have to come into work this weekend!

@Live N Learn: Like you, I inherited them when they bought WaMu. Unfortunately, they're the only bank I have that keeps lowering my credit limit on my credit card. In the last year, they've cut my limit by 66%. I have a mid 700 credit score, have never been late on any payments to anyone, pay more than the minimum

I agree with your observations about Chase. The only thing Chase is good at is chasing away their customers.

Seems to be broken. I keep getting an error message on my iPhone that says "Safari cannot open the page because too many redirects occurred."

Does anyone still use Delicious?
