Try as I might - and I tend to like Nolan - I can't must any enthusiasm for Dunkirk. It sounds like it's not much fun, and will give me a headache. And that if I don't pay to see it in 70mm I am committing some sort of crime against cinema.

I do hope they paid the kid something.
That's sort of why I am nitpicky about the new Spidey film. You can tell when it was actually using NYC and when Atlanta was filling in; and I am still really annoyed he didn't swing through Manhattan once.
That's disappointing to hear about Valerian. I was starting to get psyched for it. (There is a part of me that wants to go see all the movies that aren't getting good reviews while I ignore Dunkirk.)
It isn't an adaptation at all. If you want an adaptation, you might be very unhappy, and that's fair. But I thought it was true to some of the spirit of the books (which I simultaneously love and find to be pretty crappy). Roland was done well, the Man in Black was done very well, and a lot of the pieces of the…
Let's see. Friends stayed by us for the weekend. Other friends came to visit them at different times. Another friend was in the area yesterday, and two more friends are staying nearby but we didn't do anything with them. I liked The Dark Tower. I liked I, Robot. I really like I Am Legend.
I wanted to like this, but it just never worked for me. Then again, maybe it wasn't supposed to, since I am a 48 year old man.
I think there are few people in terrorist organizations and totalitarian regimes worse than Donald. I mean, he hasn't executed women and made their children watch. Or starved the population of his country while spending billions on nuclear weapons.
So you also have to tell the truth when riding it, right?
When I listen to that song now, I barely even get the reference.
I need to track it down, though I have admit I am one of the six or seven people who didn't like his Daredevil run.
Meaning Mark Waid's (first) return to Captain America. I liked that but never loved it.
