The one downside to Subsonic is its interface. It's not pretty, and the mobile apps are pretty barebones. That said, Subsonic streams all your local music to any computer around the world for free, so it's hard to complain too much.

Why are these files copying so sloooooooooww?
Depends on the device I think. Chromebook with no cellular modem can make audio calls as well, which can only use wifi, since that's all the device has to use.
Another way to do it is to use OpenDNS and have your router setup to use the service properly. Then, all computers in the house will share the shortcuts.
no, mine seems to work. Chrome / Win 7 / Gmail.com

need a new job.

Great article! Most high-end routers have this functionality built-in, but I use my Windows Server to do this. Guess most people don't run servers in their home though...
I just use my ring.
Carrots, jalapenos, habaneros, lettuce, green peppers, green beans, corn, cilantro

If you're willing to, handbrake the mkv files over to mp4 and the Roku will have a much easier time playing them from Plex, at least in my experience.
I'll agree. I've been looking to find something that was great and cross-platform and has a desktop app, but haven't found anything as good as hangouts and free. At least that is cross-platform as you can get.
Why though, since we already have hangouts?
