Active duty guy here. Flag/anthem are not sacred symbols for veterans or the deceased. If you think they are so revered, go to a military base and ovserve how many people are at “Morning Colors” when the flag is raised. It is only a few folks on duty, everyone else makes sure they are inside so they don’t have to stop

You don’t speak for all veterans. Veterans do not get to decide what the flag/anthem mean to the citizens of this country.

You can repeat yourself as often as you like, and you’ll still be wrong.

Give a man a fire, and he’ll be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm for the rest of his life.

If an asteroid were on a collision course with Earth in 2040, we’d presumably drop everything to avoid our fate and save ourselves.

I’m sure I watched it live on youtube before as well.  It all seems odd because I’ve seen V8 Supercar races on CBS Sports recently.  Maybe the live thing is the issue.

Americans don’t want rugged SUVs, they want SUVs that look rugged, but with the primary design goals of coddling their fat butts to and from Starbucks, Costco, and the dog park while impressing the neighbors.

From the team’s perspective, strategically, it makes sense.

“you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to bash that movie haven’t you. “

Actually more companies need to go with the “don’t like it, don’t buy it/play it/shop here. Far too many consumers think they are the only thing that matters.

It’s the correct response, and one many companies should get behind. We have a bunch of morons going out of their way to make a big deal out of something that isn’t. Arguing with them makes everone look dumb. Caving makes you look weak or “proves” them right, and going at it aggressively makes the company looks foolis

“Except you would be wrong, you intentionally ignored the reason why fans are upset”

Why should I care why people are upset when their reasons for being upset run counter to facts, the way the game functions, statements from the developers about the way the game has always functioned and why the game is designed the

Considering, for example, the mere existence of gay people in games has some people crying “political!”, I don’t think those people are being reasonable.

Imagine being so insecure that a fake woman holding a position of authority in a videogame made you uncomfortable. I'm not at all surprised that their celebacy is involuntary.

Man, I’m all in on CA’s response to this. I mean, ya, they need the game to sell and all that, but I’m here for the “don’t like it, don’t play it” answer.
