Pretty much. The redevelopment of downtown was pretty much complete and was already a bar and restaurant destination before the park broke ground. Redevelopment that was already spilling into east village on it's own. It is a nice park tho. seen several dodger games and Metallica there.

As someone who grew up and lives in SD, as a Dodger fan; I find it hilarious how they hate the Dodgers so much yet Petco is a sea of blue each time they come down.
