I understand the concept behind this. I thought about doing something similar, but not with student loans. I was thinking of paying all of my monthly utilities with a CC, and then pay off the CC every month. That way I get the rewards on my CC, without carrying over interest.

This may be cheap, but it is quite time consuming. Especially since you have to modify the door jamb to make sure it fits correctly once it’s finished.

From the linked article, “That meant that all I’d need for this project is a $12 piece of 1/4” (actual thickness = 0.2”) plywood from Lowe’s. For the foyer I used the $30 cabinet-grade 1/4” plywood because I wanted to stain it. The $12 plywood is in the molding/paneling section (next to the beadboard) and it is pink

We bought some hollow core doors for our bedrooms that have the unfinished wood veneer on them. They are really cheap too. After some applying some stain and varnish, they look very nice, and expensive.

So is cauliflower... It’s broccoli’s evil twin.

I’m definitely going to buy one of these before my next camping trip. Heard nothing but great things about them. Not something I’d want to carry with me everyday though.

I never thought I’d like a utility knife so much, but compared to all others I’ve tried it’s the best.

I could do without the wire cutter slot in the handle, but other than that it is perfect. I went through a couple of those basic folding utility knives, but they are very uncomfortable to hold even just for a short period of time.

Nice, I think I remember seeing that one, but I haven’t tried it.
I keep my utility knife along with another knife (standard folding knife similar to the one you pictured) clipped to my tool pouch, and the other knife never gets touched... Even if it isn’t the closest blade to me, I’ll go out to the garage and get it.

Exactly. Some of us need to fool proof things, because we act a fool.

That would help with lowering, but wouldn't it make it harder to lift?

Yeah, I was thinking that too, but unless you find some for free it’s not worth even trying.

Yeah, that one was a joke...

Nice upgrade. I can’t quit thinking about where to put some springs that will help lift and lower it too.

Yeah I’m going to make mine a small work table, so it’s simple to clear off. Then install a ton of shelves and storage, so I dont have any reasons for stuff being out all the time.

I bought this stuff the last time around, and man it is awesome. My favorite use so far is when I repaired a plastic connector from my truck's windshield wiper hose. I used the Bondic like a 3D printer to repair the big hole where water was rushing out. Worked like a charm, and didn't have to try to find a replacement

I’ve been wanting to do this in my garage for a while, and I think this version is simple enough to light a fire under my ass to get it done.

I’ve done it by wetting it first, but that’s because I was unsuccessfully scrubbing it already. Not sure if dry will do the same, but I bet it will do something. Just make sure to pour enough on the area to cover it completely. It’s some sort of magical voodoo, I swear.
