Expiration date warnings should show up in your list under the notes column.
I do, but only because I have a computer connected to my TV
White balance needs some correction, but yeah it looks fine.
That's a good point. Often though I use prime to get free shipping on something I would otherwise have had to drive to a store to purchase anyways, so in a sense it can definitely save you some cash if you're only buying things to actually need.
Agreed, but they take time and attention to detail. Labor is always included in the cost from the manufacture, and is passed on to the customer when purchasing a belt. If you're going to spend hours creating one, then it raises the question on how you value your time.
I actually don't manufacture the belts myself. I provide designs and instruct factories how to make the belts. Belt minimum order quantities are typically around 600 pieces.
A few things that a $100 dollar belt probably has that this one does not...
I've been designing and making belts for major retailers for about 10 years, so I can say that while this isn't a bad deal, it's definitely not cheaper than buying a similar belt already made... Depending on where you shop. In most cases it can be, but not in all.
100% leather does not mean it is one ply full grain leather such as the belt being made in this tutorial. Almost all cheap belts like the one in your link are made from thin layers of split leather, and usually have a bonded leather (think particle board, but leather) core.
Isn't there another way that you can cause the reaction without adding in crystals? I think the retail versions have something in them that snaps quickly, and that starts the crystals to form.
Those types produce an exothermic oxidation between iron and oxygen when the package is opened. They are not made from sodium acetate, and are not reusable.
I hate hate hate hate hate carpet... I only have it in my living room, and I can't wait to tear it out and put down new flooring.
My wife and I honeymooned at the Lajitas Resort in Big Bend TX a few years ago at the very beginning of January. It was awesome and empty. It got very cold at night, but it would get up into the 70's during the day. Great hiking weather for the desert mountains, and the hot springs in the National Park weren't crowded…
I live in Dallas, and when it ices I choose to stay at home, just because I don't want to be hit by some idiot that doesn't know how to drive in it. The roads ice up pretty good at least once every few years. However, winter tires are very rarely purchased, most people do not have AWD, and the surrounding cities do…
Great tip. I love this function on Flickr. I really like http://snapsort.com for comparing cameras. It's really useful to see the specs side by side the way they do.
Turn knob until it sounds good. Okay, got it!
Awesome! I just threw up everywhere.
I am a big proponent of product research, but a large portion of my research is finding a good deal as well. I can see how it could be addictive though. The funny thing is that I usually don't buy an item after finding out what I want. Sometimes the deal just isn't good enough, so I just pass on it all together.
