I think with Blade though, it was because less people knew of him that it was so successful. The more obscure a character is, the less likely the audience will come in with preconceived notions and expectations.

Here is how I see it though, friendzoning is when you ignore someone unless or until you need something from them, usually to listen to you complain about your current man or if you need money or some other favor from them.

Well, what's so bad about it? Men do get the shaft when it comes to divorce and child support. WOuld it be sexist if it was a divorce lawyer for women?
