This looks like a steam sale to me. I like the concept though.

There was some advertising. They had a facebook page for the game up ever since last year's E3, and it was updated on a weekly basis almost.

I played the open beta, it was pretty fun. It's free to play, but you don't need to spend any money to experience everything. I got a Diablo-type vibe from it. It's not perfect, but it's free, so if you're a Marvel fan, the price is right.
