To add to that, Even during 2000, Square put out Front Mission 3, Threads of Fate, Vagrant Story, and Chrono Cross among other titles while working on three separate Final Fantasy titles, the first two of which (9 and 10) released a year after each other.

Here is some reality: If they were to stop making Call of Duty, Madden, or whatever else you hate tomorrow, it won't help whatever you like sell any more units that it does now. There will just be another triple A title that will take its place and the hipsters will bitch into oblivion about that.

So which games got drowned out by Call of Duty? Certainly not Batman Arkham City, Deus EX, Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, and about a host of other games that somehow managed to sell well.

Shie, nearly every game is a copy of something that came before it anyway. Remember when fighting games were popular during the 90s? We got Fatal Fury, Mortal Kombat, King of Fighters, etc because of Street Fighters popularity. Yet people enjoyed some of those other games just as much as they did SF.

And lets not forget that since acquiring Eidos, Square has put a considerable amount of effort into developing their franchises as well. Deus EX was one of last year's best games, Just Cause 2 was pretty well recieved, and a new Tombraider is on its way.

Unfortunately for the hipsters, too many people like MW3 for that to happen. So the only thing left to do is to focus on what you like and ignore what you don't like.

It's not that they actually want them to die, they just think hating what's popular makes them look cool, kinda like hip hop backpackers. I remember when Modern Warfare just came out, people were singing its praises, saying it was gonna be better than Halo.

So, if a website editorial is about a game they like or a feature they like about a game, that automatically makes it an advertorial? Or does that apply only to games you don't like?

This is Snake. He can look badass regardless of what he's got on. He can rock a pastel blue suit and still look awesome.

I said it once, and I'll say it again, it's amazing how tough some people will be when they're safely behind a keyboard and monitor using an anonymous ID and sitting in the comfort of their mom's basement.

Lame is a matter of opinion. I still enjoy it, but I'm no fanboy, so that's all that counts. And if you don't like it so much, why talk about it as much as you do?

Sorry folks, I'm a COD fan and I'm interested in hearing about the next one. Probably it will end up being Black Ops 2. Yeah I'm a 'real gamer', but I not the kind who hates on whatever is popular just to be with the cool crowd. Sorry peeps.

Meanwhile 'experts' (a.k.a people who never played a video game in their life beside Pac-Man) have published a new report saying video games train kids to be evil mass murdering vampire gangsta drug kingpin ner'do'wells citing Norwegian mass murdered Anders Behring Breivik as proof.

I think Wolverine's gonna strike out on his own. An issue of Avengers or New Avengers showed him going up against Captain America. I bet it's going to become X-men vs Avengers with Wolvie and his peeps caught in the middle.

remember though, most of the mutant popultion is down to the hundreds, and thanks to Schism, many of them are at Wolverine's school, so Cyclops might not have a whole lot on his side. Now if you're talking about ex mutants that hope the pheonix will restore their powers, then it's a different story, but still how

I think a lot of these cats are jumping on teh bandwagon just to get some extra cheese the easy way.

Gives a whole new meaning to teh term "rage quit".

The Japanese don't carry the same stigma about paying for company that Americans do. I was reading a book about [wrestler] Chris Beniot, and they were talking about how yakuza would spend thousands to hang out with famous pro wrestlers and athletes.

hmm...very compelling question.

STOP SNITCHING....on yourself.
