If Nintendo had such a good relationship with their consumers, there wouldn't have been an Operation Rainfall. Wii owners wouldn't have had to beg and petition Nintendo to bring three high quality Wii RPGS over to America when the system needs triple A titles at this point in its lifetime.

They tried something like that a few times back in the day. The N64 had that little expansion pack, Sega had the 32x, and I think the Sega Saturn had something similar. Even the NES had cartridges with special chips that were unlicensed.

But in ME2, if you team up with legion, his loyalty mission has you reprogram the Geth. It's mentioned that there are actually two factions of Geth at odds with each other, so methinks this is the 'good guy reprogrammed faction.
