Despite working in I.T. for a utility company, my internet service at home is bare bones and cheap. While it was good enough for basic work, I’m discovering its awful for online meetings with audio and video.  So I’m having to upgrade to AT&T fiber this week.

I think the idea is to try an contain the outbreak by preventing transmission to more people in the ‘containment’ zone. So they clean things like schools and other gathering areas. They test a whole bunch of people in the area and quarantine those who test positive. They try to limit large gatherings (although I don’t

Yeah , My son want’s to go the the Perot Science Museum in Dallas over spring break. I’m having second thoughts.

Who has time for all this constant shoe switching?

Anyone else have issue with drinking hot liquids from these? Since I can’t slurp hot coffee from this, I always feel like my tongue is getting scorched.

I agree that it’s not physically difficult.  But it does take time and many people are just too busy.

But isn’t this service basically just delivery of streaming services? Why pay anything when you can just get a smart tv or chromecast for $15?

You are tragically bad at math.

I’m 8 inches taller than you, but that’s not crazy tall.

Yeah, we had been looking at switching to streaming services to reduce cost, and getting rid of our DirecTV. Even if it wasn’t the perfect solution, I was willing to put up with it for a reduced cost for 2 years. But jacking up the price on the second year makes it a non-starter.

While I sympathize with the libraries, I wonder if the ease of ebook lending is what really worries the publishers.

Can someone please explain the appeal of stories? It's this weird separate thing where you can post pictures, just like on the newsfeed, but somehow different?

I’m 5'9". I’m one inch away from the average male height in the U.S. Even then, my knees are always several inches away from a reclined seat back on any airline I’ve ever traveled. That should be enough to accommodate lots of those people even significantly taller than me. there was someone who commented here who is 6'

Good advice. I'll let you all know how that goes as soon as my son is out of high school.

Perhaps. But if it is, it’s the airline’s fault and not because I recline my seat.

I know! Who are these people with those freakishly long thigh bones?

I’m having a hard time believing this is really a problem. I’m 5'9' and I’ve always had several inches of clearance between my knees and a reclined seat. I’ve never had a airline cup knocked over by reclining seats (if you put a tall water bottle there, that’s your own fault). I don’t try to use a laptop on the tray

This GIF has soooo many applications..

I wonder - how hard would it be for a fanatic to intentionally spread this?

Thank you for using the actual name COVID-19. None of the other so-called reputable news organizations seem to be doing this
