Point taken, but the normal flavor of beer isn’t really what I’m after. Just like I don’t drink coffee black, but with 3 packets of Splenda. It gives me my caffeine kick, just like beer gives me my buzz.

I agree about being able to see you neighbors on your terms. I know that lots of people like a “community” , but I always read that as “people who like to stick their nose in my business”

We are lucky that we get to put all of our unused PTO into a ‘bank’. Then this is used to supplement short term disability. Instead of getting 70% of our pay for short term disability, we get 100% of our pay for all the hours we have banked.

For summer vacation, we generally take a week and a half off. That’s enough time to encompass 2 weekends and get cheaper plane fares for not traveling on Friday-through-Saturday.
