Didn’t work for me

Do people really use dimmable floodlights? We have these in recessed lighting all over our house (Kitchen hallways, foyer), but I can’t imaging needing them to be dimmed. Standard lighting fixtures, like chandeliers and ceiling fans are more likely to be dimmed.

Hey, I get that it annoys you that he doesn’t care about stuff you think he should care about.

To me, the trash is full when I try to throw something away and the lid won’t close. To my wife, it’s full when it’s close to the top.

Did you not see what you did there? You completely missed the point! In one sentence you admit he told you he didn’t notice it. And in the next sentence you assume he DID notice it and just expected you to do it.

I think the biggest issue with this”division of labor” thing is a problem of differing expectations. One spouse might have a higher expectations, and is frustrated when their partner seems ok with a lower standard. This applies to everything: laundry, meals, kids schoolwork, dirty dishes, pet care, social life, etc.…

It’s only mysterious if “Stairway to Heaven” was still playing on the airplane radio.

While having an activity is fine for most people, make sure that you don’t require everyone to participate. Some people prefer parties when they can hang out on the fringes and observe, then join in for short periods of time.
