One trick for shooting stable video, is to attach the camera to a tripod, but leave the tripod folded-up. The extra mass helps to make the image more stable, especially if you are moving around.

I learned a trick in Boy Scouts to warm up sleeping bags quick. Just jog in place for a bit (15-30 seconds should do it), to get your heart pumping and raise your body temp a bit. Then get under the covers and your body heat will quickly warm the surrounding sheets.

How do you know it’s a power only cord? I recently came across one of those, and it was literally the first one I ever encountered that DIDN’T transfer data. I had to actually write it on the connector in black marker so I would remember.
