Yes you need to make sure that the tasks you delegate to your employees are things they actually know how to do. And if not, you need to teach them.

By the way, has anyone found that having lots of close friends is just, well, too much WORK? You can't ever do anything on your own, you always have to think of others. Go to a movie by yourself - "Oh I was waiting to see that with you!". Go to that new bar -"You should have called me! I would have gone with you!".

Oh definitely! The only friends my wife and I have are the parents of our son's classmates. And the only time we really hang out with them is at school events or the kid's sporting events.

Thanks, I didn't know that.

All terminals at DFW are linked by a train called 'Skylink'. It's all behind security.

I live near Dallas, and this was all over the news last night.. Cool to see that it made national news.

I admit that I thought this way at first. But if you sweep it under the rug, then someone will think they can do it again, even if the adults got fired. And then it becomes worse because it become institutionalized.

I've started using as a cheap alternative for lunch at work. I use half a package at a time, and add leftover chicken or beef. I even chop up some green onions to toss in too (recipes call for 1 or 2 green onions but you have to buy a bunch that goes bad in a week)

I wonder if it would be worth it just to have a easily searchable record of a family death?

I freeze "silver dollar" sized pancakes all the time! There is always too much batter left over after breakfast. So I use it up and freeze the extra pancakes in a zip lock bag, between layers of wax paper. Squeeze out as much air as possible and then close the bag around a straw. Suck the air out with the straw

And put up a sign that say's "Prices have been pre-haggled for your convenience"

If Gmail would let me sort by sender, this would be a lot easier.

I use sort to help mass-delete emails. For example I sort by sender to get all the A's together. Then I can scan down the 100's of emails with Advantage car rental, Ace hardware, AAA Autoclub, etc. There may be one or two that I want to keep (electronic receipts and such) but then I can delete all the rest (from

If Gmail would give me a frigging "sort" option, I wouldn't have to do this!

I'll just leave this here

Does anyone remember this Mechanix Illustrated DIY car from the 80's? It was foam covered in fiberglass.

Lots of schools make parents sign permission slips for kids to walk or bike to school. But it's not the school that is giving permission, it's the parents. The school just want's to make sure that it's not liable when your kids leave their property without an adult.

OK, I'll be more specific.

10 days? That's a bit excessive in the middle of a school year.

I'd like to point out that the comments are 100 times more informative and researched than the above article.
