The lack of big, soaring emotional moments was actually one of the things that made me love it. I generally get bored with the manipulation of war movies, but this felt genuine to life for me.

70mm, non-IMAX.

Even if you can't discuss it at length on TV, the show has definitely demonstrated the value of fortified walls. And given the attack on Wessex last year, it would not be surprising to start seeing walled cities pop up as a visual throughline, even if it isn't talked about.

Ohhhhhhhh … intrigued.

Haha. Truer words were never spoken. Uhtred never met a goos thing he didn't immediately want to fuck up.

Yeah I don't really see Syttric actively plotting against Uhtred, more just the circumstances of his existence fucking shit up for Uhtred down the road. But who knows?

Oh and, yeah, Uhtred DEFINITELY believes in magic.

The death of Aethelred's dad was amazing. Especially for Ethelwulf's reaction to it. I've honestly never been clear on whether he believed in the Norse gods or just wasn't a god-type person. He clearly has disdain for people who are particularly dependent on religious guidance of any faith, including Ubba, Alfred's wife, and at times Alfred. But that does not mean he doesn't believe in Odin and the

I love the observation that he refuses to take advice. So true! He loves to give advice. But he can't bring himself to listen to and acknowledge anyone else's knowledge and experience. But I don't understand why not. I mean, he listened to Ragnar growing up and learned so much. But since the attack that left him

Forgive me in advance for never knowing how to spell anyone's name on this show …

I watched Spider-man Homecoming and Beatriz at Dinner. Loved both.

Are we sure this isn't just a case of a missing comma?

Stop!
