It's so arbitrary, and worse, it doesn't give the user any sort of leg up in the race against all the racers between them and the leader. The Lightning Bolt was at least useful for gaining a few positions, and figuring out you could screw people who were in the middle of jumps was great. I hate that stupid blue…
