Then we'd get… uh… Orrin Hatch?? "I guess an 82-year-old conservative Mormon would be the best option for president" isn't something I thought would ever cross my mind.
Then we'd get Paul Ryan.
Shit, I forgot about that shit song.
My favorite way of entertaining myself/annoying my wife when we go to thrift stores is to say, "Look what I found!" and then lead her over to the pile of George Foremans. That, or looking through the vinyl records and saying "Andy Williams!" a la Nelson Muntz when I come upon the inevitable Andy Williams record.
I hate it, too, but I'm afraid it's what they're heading toward. It would really devalue the audience investment in Dolores, and reducing emotional investment in characters isn't something this show should actively be doing. But I feel like the show is heading in that direction, especially given her memory glitches.
Fury Road's score is especially disappointing compared to Road Warrior's score, which is incredible and adds so much to that move.
I would really like to believe that.
Trump and his supporters are such sore winners. They're still angrily yelling on and off the internet, even though they supposedly won. What the hell???

Most of the seats in the Senate up in 2018 are Democrats, so it's going to have to be all-hands defense. We'll be defending Democrats who represent red states, even, so it's going to be tough to protect even the minority we have.
Yeah, it's tough to really be able to say what could've been when it was so unprecedented in the first place. That Hillary is going to be up to 2% ahead in the popular vote is, to me, an indication that our system has a major structural fault that prioritizes the problems and choices of people in certain states over…
The reason we think people are moderate is because when polled, Democrats tend to identify as moderate, especially black Democrats who supported Hillary. And while running only progressives would be nice, they still have to get past primaries, which is going to require people to vote for them. It's doable, but it's…
Considering Clinton won by a large margin in the primary popular vote, I would say socialism is still a tricky topic within the Democratic Party.
The general election would've been tough for Sanders. The GOP was transparently gentle on Sanders during the primaries, too, I think because a) they wanted to use him to hurt Clinton (it worked) and b) they wouldn't have minded running against a self-labeled socialist that was having difficulty appealing to minority…
