Rather than suggesting anyone move to Safari (why would we do that?)

There's no way in hell Leopard is going to be a free upgrade. Why would this even make sense?? As far as people who have just recently bought new Macs, Apple has always had a program in place for them. You buy a mac within X days of the release of a new OS and you can get that OS for a nominal fee, usually the cost

I find this "news" being breathlessly discussed all over the intertubes maddening. So what?? In what way is it a problem to have your name imprinted in the metadata? For whom is this an issue? I thought the problem was that DRM was preventing us from playing our music on any devices we own, to burn as many CDs as

I remember when I first found that mode on my Powershot G2 back in 2003. It enabled me to get shots like this. That sky would have been 90% black had I not used the slow sync flash mode (sometimes known also as "night shot" mode).

My television is for Netflix DVDs and the Nintendo Wii. I don't have cable, satellite or even an antenna. I save money, definitely. But I spend a lot of time on the internet, so I'm reluctant to say that it makes me more active. I mean I do get out and sweat regularly, but I don't think I do it more because I

I think those complaining about it being a resource hog must all be Windows users. I can't really speak to that. I just know I don't have that problem on any Mac I've used. (And I by no means think that this implicates Apple in some nefarious plot. Quite the contrary. But that's another issue.)

Clever!

Trying it out now. I'm not sure how valuable it will be, given the fact that i've been using Spotlight for quite some time. Searching my gmail account may be helpful, though. We'll see.

Seriously. iTunes is good software as far as I can see. Why the hate?

Electrics are not usually much good for thick beards. Or so I hear. I would say get good shaving cream and shave after a hot shower. There are techniques that can help get a closer shave without much risk, like using a washcloth to stretch your skin this way and that (I do it to get the skin just under my jaw onto

My recommendation:

@ geekgrrl77: Yeah, preview crops PDFs, but it does warn that hte crop is non-destructive. See this screen shot.

I must add, however, that Preview's cropping is problematic: open your cropped image in another app and you may find that there's no crop anymore. Weird!

It would be great if it could also do some simple resizing and cropping!

I love Preview. About the only thing I wish it had was resizing. Xee doesn't seem to have it either. Why is it that the developers of these programs think I need to do something like set the white balance (I sometimes do), but that I don't need to something so obvious as resizing??

I'm all for the real badger brush. Even boar brushes aren't as good, and they're fairly cheap. I also recommend good high end shaving cream. (I use Taylor's of Old Bond Street varieties). Even if you stick with your super-turbo-nitro-nuclear twenty-seven-blade cartridge razor instead of going with a safety razor,

The face is not the only place MEN shave, either.

Never tried it! I'll try to remember this tip for future reference.
