I used MT for years and loved it, but when their licensing changed such that I'd be out a hundred bucks just to keep me and my daughter in blogsville, I switched to WP. I really, really like WP. I do wish it had the ability to do more than one blog per install, though.

I'm all for them emulating good ideas, I just wish they'd do a better job at it. That is, they copy an idea seemingly without any real understanding of what made it a good idea in the first place. It's almost like the design guys they have in charge of ripping this stuff off are of the "it's all just eye-candy…

Why you should care? Because, Mac and Linux notwithstanding, if you expect to use a PC beyond the next year or two you'll be using Vista whether you like it or not. Whether you should be greeting it with enthusiasm or not is another matter, and one which I don't have a complete opinion on yet.
