Honestly the fact they haven’t gone full on and built the ultimate at home and mobile streaming device just boggles the mind. If it was running android underneath or could dual boot with android the switch would utterly dominate the market and open them back up to all those older gamers that won’t buy a nintendo

Dual screens is easily done via tv mode as you then have two screens. And Nintendo leaves it open for. Means to use older Wii controllers. This would be a very simple process via an accessory .

Even shorter version

Since they will only be selling, like 20 consoles per store, most people won’t find out that answer for a long time.

That first reveal trailer was like “holy shit this is awesome, a proper console i can take with me”.

You just sent my boner into the ground.

TL:DR Non-Bullshit PR Speak Version

Except the fact that 2TB of microSDXC stoarge is YEARS out. The major memory makers have just barely figured out how to effectively cram 256gb into a microSDXC chip.

This is why Xbox, Playstation, Steam etc all have cloud save features. It doesn’t appear the Switch will...

The way they talk about voice chat makes it sound like you need a phone or tablet to use it, that the Switch itself will not support it.

“Hardcore” has become marketing jargon to mean “Mass produced Sony/Microsoft game” - Can you imagine if film were the same way? Michael Bay’s “Transformers” movie would be considered “Hardcore”.

I don’t think I have seen anything about the charging cables required for this thing. I assume the controllers charge being plugged into the screen and the screen charges being plugged into the TV dock, but the crazy amount of chargers and cables that came with my WiiU makes me think we might have something far worse

SD storage is dismally slow though, not excited for load times.

Seriously, I was pretty stoked about this at first. But now I’m looking at a system that, for $300:

I read every “nothing to announce at this time” as “You won’t like our answer”.

Next sentence: “(Note that 2TB cards are not yet on the market, but Nintendo Switch will support them when they are.)“

I would have been much easier to ask:

I’ll take a wild guess at the answer: “We have nothing to announce at this time.”

From sounds of it, it seems that it almost costs as much to make the damn joycons as the damn switch itself (not counting dock).

Wait, the capture function doesn’t do videos at launch?
