In my house growing up, swearing was seen as a healthy way to vent feelings of frustration. Swearing at someone (unless clearly joking) was a no-no. Swearing about the state of things in general was (is) fair game. I can’t think of any more appropriate reason to be swearing right now.

(barring the reparations commentary).

This isn’t about legitimizing her path to the presidency. It’s about acknowledging that she does something well, and if the frontrunners were smart they would copy some aspects of her approach to messaging on the debate stage.

I don’t think you’re quite getting it.

People like Danielle Stella are the reason we have warning stickers on hairdryers telling you not to use them in the shower.

Dousing a cop with water, “SO SUPER BAD AND DISRESPECTFUL.” Cops killing an innocent black man, “He shouldn’t have been wearing a hoodie!”

Counterpoint: NDT has taught me many things, and Jack Crosbie has not enriched my life in literally any conceivable way.

People think she can’t be racist because she’s Chinese? Tell that to the Chinese government locking up Uyghurs.

he is doing very well and is popular overseas...basically the show and funds were restructured to allow for more Conan without borders episodes per year, clueless gamer becoming it’s own digital entity, etc.

Meh, I feel like I’m the only one who thinks pretty much no one looks good in this situation except Ayanna who said her focus is on her constituents.

This should be highlighted and repeated. There is virtually no difference between the Trumpers and the #NeverTrumpers. They are all Republicans. They support the exact same shitty regressive Republican policies.

Bret Stephen’s problem in this scenario: people *did* understand what he wrote. He just doesn’t like the fact that they’re shining light on what he wrote, and calling him on it. Perhaps he feels uncomfortable with the fact that he revealed more about himself that he realized. Perhaps he doesn’t like the conclusions

I enjoy that he employs the conservative method of, “I’m very smart and enlightened but most Americans are dumb rubes. So when I discuss them, I just envision the dumbest most dog shit idiot and say that is who you must win over."

One thing I hate about writers is when they write something that causes a swift and broad backlash, and their defense is “You misunderstood what I meant,” as if that is a valid defense for a person whose job it is to convey ideas to third-parties via the written word. I write for a living, and if someone who is

I’m starting to think Eric is the smarter of the two. Not only does he use Twitter less, he made the right move not pressing charges against the woman who spit in his face. Not that he deserves a medal or anything but I’m pretty sure Junior would have punched her in the face. The bars we set these days would give

“Today I wrote a piece attempting to explain the view of ordinary people (i.e. people who agree with me)." -Posted from inside a luxury bunker penthouse, eating raw oysters on furniture made of poor people standing very still.
