I have tons of gadgets with exposed holes and none have ever been filled with gunk. Stop taking your stuff out in the mud and you'll be fine.

Ah, port covers - a sign of a poorly designed product. Only Sony.

Looks like a copy of the shitty salad dressing blender I got with my shitty aerogarden back in 2008: http://www.amazon.com/AeroGarden-Serve-Fresh-Vinaigrette-Marinade/dp/B0015MM3KC

Just like their rainbow Apple :(

Gizmodo post in 3 months: Famous photog dies after falling off 11 foot tripod.

Total and utter bullshit source of an article. For starters, the Macbook Air is based off an Intel reference model called the Metro (2007) - and the Metro took its design cues from the Sharp Actius line (released in 2003!!!).

Now playing

When I first saw that photo I said there is no fucking way that whole thing rotates. Then I saw the video posted on Reddit:

Uh, did everyone forget about the Inspiron Duo, which is already two years old? http://www.cnet.com/laptops/dell-inspiron-duo/4505-3121_7-34328122.html

Same applies to Magsafe on a laptop. It is a luxury. If anything, I'd love it on Apple devices as the magnet could make docking so much easier.

With all due respect - the G'Nex only does MHL *OR* USB Host in the same connector. You need a Galaxy S3 if you want them both in the same plug. MHL and host in the same plug makes things like docking possible where you get video and USB.

How so? It seems to work just fine for every other manufacturer out there. The new MicroUSB plug on the Galaxy S3 does MHL, Audio and USB host in the same connector. Analog video can go, so I don't think there is anything in the Apple dock that couldn't be done with MicroUSB.

Yes, I'm aware that Jesus isn't making these photos himself - but you know what NASA lacks? The commentary.

Absolutely amazing. I can't thank you enough for your coverage this week - and these photos are just the cherry on top.

Call me crazy, but this is by far the best Mars article I've read all day. Thanks for the details - things I would never have thought about. Is there an article somewhere else that discusses the radio system used to actually beam this stuff to Earth?

The difference is that companies like NBC are willing to pay a billion dollars to broadcast this 2 week event. Space events are short lived and filled with boring commentary. Yes, we should spend more on space, but the human shitty attention span won't ever make it a big TV event.

Sorry to burst your bubble. Adorama had it last week on eBay for $299 and Fry's has it in store *this week* for $299 as well. Add this to your cart and head to the end to see the price: http://www.frys.com/search?plusearch=6916267%207002751

FWIW; the S100 is regularly on sale for $299 - putting in an entirely different price category.

Not really fair as this is (per the picture) his gadgets and those of his wife. Essentially, he carries half of what you see here, which seems pretty normal. I'm sure half the readers here travel with a laptop, couple of phones and an iPad.

I had one of these. At the time, it was the most amazing thing I ever owned. I also had the dual ISA expansion slot base. On my model, the AC adapter could take the place of a battery pack. Everything about this machine was mindblowing at the time.

Seriously? $80 for that watch? Why not just buy it at Dealextreme for $15? Linking to a deal from Hammacher Schlemer is just weak :)
