I grew up in a two family house. A young couple lived on the first floor and mine lived on the second. One day the wife came up to have coffee with my mother. I told the wife that my mom laid on the floor to hear the couple’s fights better.
Yeah, it’s great he likes it, but...why does he like it? What works well about the composition? What doesn’t? I’m not surprised the girl cried—This isn’t useful critique.
It’s this sort of thing that makes me reconsider the notion that the world needs to be purged by fire. I still think it should, but stuff like this gives me momentary pause.
I’m just not sure that there are enough armed cops at that obviously volatile event.
I’m not a courtroom lawyer but I’m 99% sure cops don’t have the jurisdiction to make sure someone is a really a lawyer in court. That’s the court’s job and only the court’s job. The cop is there for security and to bring criminal defendants in and out of custody. This cop should 100% be fired but I’m sure he won’t be.
Elizabeth Gilbert “finds love” a lot. A lot a lot.
Most book advances would be barely enough to cover a month away, so I’m not seeing this as particularly damning.
I might be misremembering but I thought she even mentioned it in the book.

I saw a picture of PJ in a pink catsuit in the pages of Spin magazine. I had no idea who she was, she just looked really cool and badass. So I bought To Bring You My Love and that was it for me, I fell in love. Never heard anything like it before. Kind of makes me wish I could go back and listen to it for the first…
The other day, my husband said to me, “I decided not to try to reason with you about buying Jagged Little Pill on vinyl and bought what was in our Amazon cart.” I gave him a pitying look and said, “It is an amazing album. You’ll see. You’ll see.”
Girl. No. This is a bad take and you should feel bad about it.
Gotta disagree hard on this one. IMO Jagged Little Pill holds up as a top 10 90s album. It’s a viscerally angry album and Alanis is SO GOOD at getting her emotions across.
As usual, not one of them stepped in and bum rushed him or nothing. But they stay bragging about how a chick need to hold them down like their momma held it down...........correct me if I am wrong, but couldn’t this woman be someone’s momma? And nobody did a damn thing. Smh. When we’re little girls their predatory…
My coworker went on her first cruise last summer. Her mother was CONVINCED her husband was going to murder her by throwing her overboard or she was going to get drunk and fall off. I just warned her of capsizing and norovirus.
If you want to talk about beards then you should probably be discussing Rosario Dawson and Cory Booker.
