I’m pretty sre they mean that it would be kind of odd to cast someone who naturally speaks in an East African accent and has no professional record of speaking any American accent (let alone the particular accent they want for the character) as the only American in a movie taking place in East Africa.

Apperantly, she’s fond of voice acting.
