I get rated range in the summer, and about 70% of it in the winter. The battery and cabin heaters suck down electrons. One of the upsides of a gas engine is it wastes so much energy that the heat is free.
That is the sensible easy way out, the David Tracy way will involve a lot of time, strangers taking pity, and blood loss, hence the enjoyment.
