I still have to keep reading, but I wanted to come down here to say that I’m actually really surprised that, with all the, to put it nicely, shitboxes that we’ve seen David drive over the years, he’d never driven a vehicle with a bad clutch.

My ad blockers work quite well.
Does seem crazy. Why cede the segment to other makers if you still have hundreds of thousands of loyal buyers?
Just adblock man, it’s 2020 ffs
Please tell me you aren’t actually stupid enough to think this was some arbitrary number they chose. It’s a miracle they could “fix” it at all without rebuilding the bridge from scratch and regrading half a mile of railroad track while they’re at it.
I prefer the ones with RVs that shave off the roof vents, the A/C, the toilet vent pipe, the roof rack, a couple bicycles...
They fixed it by as much as they could from a practical and economic standpoint. The 8" gained was from structural improvements decreasing the cross section of the rail support. They still can’t reasonably dig the road deeper or raise the railway.
As well as post-landing maintenance as well I would assume, seeing how Air Canada Corp office is there and Bombardier has a factory right there.
Q400 doesn’t have fuel dumping capability. And foaming runways is Hollywood bullshit (former airport firefighter here). You let them belly in, and once they stop sliding then you shoot foam. Anything else is just wasting foam.
Not every commercial aircraft has the ability to dump fuel.
Most smaller aircraft do not have the capability to dump fuel. Even the 737 can’t do it.
You do realize that regional aircraft like this don’t have the ability to jettison fuel right? They can land overweight in an outright emergency but that would likely lead to structural damage. Even aircraft much larger than the Dash 8 such as the A320 don’t have the capability to jettison fuel.
This is why they say to turn off electronics before takeoff. It can make the wheels fall off.
If there was a problem during landing, which airport/city would you prefer to crash at: Montreal or Saguenay?
That is one of the most satisfying videos available. Too bad we don’t see this more in the real world. Having just done a 600 mile each way trip last week, I can tell you that the interstates would be a safer place if cops would worry less about speeding and more about left lane hogs. There were more times where the…
That’s amazing
All too many cars seem to have a critical flaw in their braking system: the actuator is not looking out the windshield.
60% that they make some...10% they make any significant number....0% the company is around at the end of the lease term
Man, the Ocean seems so great it makes me kind of sad that I've got an Elio on the way...
