Right there with you. The biggest gripe I have is the horse sticker on the faux grill. If you need something there at least make it look better than a $.79 decal. At least that can hopefully be rectified with a heat gun and some Goo-Gone.

Examples like this don’t factor in the rest of the year. I’ve spent zero minutes at gas stations all year long. On the occasional trip more time is spent, but the majority of the year it’s less. It more than likely (each individual is different) equates to less wasted time driving an EV than an ICE vehicle.
Maybe it’s just me but buying a car based on requirements for the times you move halfway across the country doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
That green is AWESOME!
It’s always pissed me off that the odometer should have gone backwards like they planned. I assume Ferraris of that era had similar cable odometer/speedometer connections other cars did.
Ok then “under utilized medians”. Turbines mounted on columns could easily leave room for emergency access because they aren’t a continuous wall. Locating them to minimize impact to drainage would be feasible as well. IMHO a harder problem to solve would be designing the bases so that they deflect or absorb wayward…
The future is closer than you probably thought: https://www.theverge.com/2018/5/30/17409112/digital-license-plates-california-reviver-auto
Then slap some big wind turbines on the unused land in the center medians and we could be on to something.
Yep, I had that last year and learned my lesson. A 3.5 hour layover in Stockholm wasn’t enough so I lost the ticket on the missed flight and had to book business class (the only ticket available) to make it to Rome in time for an appointment. On top of that my luggage was lost so they gave me a toiletry kit to tie me…
The guy with the presence of mind to hang on to his towels and walk over to help people dry off is the real hero.
Most civic engineers are also very civil ;-)
Absolutely right, it’s called Voluntary Response Bias
What are you doing writing a reasoned response about Musk on Jalopnik? You must remember that everything he says and does is a lie and needs to be mocked relentlessly.
The graphic is oversimplified but it does get the point across. There are solar cells on both sides so they cancel each other out. It’s not accounting for battery mfg, but it’s also not accounting for fuel cell or hydrogen tank mfg. so seems pretty fair on the whole.
Totally agree about the side view. Something is very off putting about the front portion of this car from the side.
And don’t forget once you get to Moscow the charge time needs to be 5 minutes or less.
At least now you know which half of your friends are liars.
Free drinks at Jalapeno Pete’s? I’m in.
It’s good to see the real David is back, not that impostor looking for reliable vehicles.
“Yes, some of the Jeep’s issues could be easily mended, but I think it has reached a point of no return. Spending time and money on it just doesn’t make sense anymore.”
