A lot of people take cabs when they're intoxicated in some fashion, or in some kind of compromised state. It's difficult (and awkward) to take down a cab driver's information, plus you have to be present enough in the moment realize you should do so. Having the driver's information sent to you, remaining on your phone

Cabs have mobile data terminals and GPS in them these days. You can easily complain to their dispatch, especially if you get the cab number, and they will know which driver it was. You can roll your eyes and say they won't care, but I drove a cab for years, and it simply isn't true. And unlike Uber, cab companies are

Uber driver needs uber punishment.

Was wondering if y'all were going to cover this. Just another disgusting act from a disgusting company.

oh my god watching him figure it out IS A TREASURE

God...."don't bring me into this, I've got country music stars looking for an award I'm covering".

They didn't post a link, and if you're going to "send him more traffic" he will get it it by "name of UVA rape accuser" or some such just as well as he gets it from "gotnews".

Make bounces, not war. (I'm sad I can't find a higher quality version, though.)

That's pretty foxy!

It would be irresponsible not to cover things like this. It would be irresponsible to "jump on the bandwagon," too. But it's not irresponsible to call this out as completely unethical behavior and to rally in support of the victim.

After all, we cannot show our support for victims we haven't heard about. This woman

That's on the integrity of the reader. Never did Isha Aran encourage anyone to look for the name. If you have no qualms about being a busybody and looking up the alleged name, that's your deal. Kind of like when Allure published the breaking story several years ago that a lot of Brazilian keratin treatments were

It meas that people can take to twitter and ask that he be banned as I have. That is the point.

Oh ffs. Sure. Here, via Google, is every MediaMatters tag for Charles C. Johnson, known fuckhead:

News sites, do not get to pick and choose the news.

There is nothing irresponsible about reporting something which is all over, well actually, the NEWS.

To not report it, as a deliberate choice, not because it's not important, but because you don't think people should know it, is the beginnings of some seriously scary

Because we all deserve to know what exactly women that report their rape are up against; we all deserve to know just how far rape culture reaches, and just how much of our lives it can destroy. Most importantly, victims deserve to have their struggles heard. To ignore this information would be to ignore the newest

I think the reasoning behind reporting this is, as a progressive women's website, is to show what women are up against. These kinds of attacks are something we need to speak out about. Start a dialogue about how we prepare, strengthen, and protect ourselves from a society that seems to refuse to believe that victims

The point is "Charles C. Johnson is a repulsive piece of shit"
