OMG don't let an old person think they've been overcharged/charged twice! All it takes is one mistake on the bill (even by like 20 cents) and an old person can easily flip out on you. Even after explaining that we have fixed the problem, it was an honest mistake/etc, I have had elder people go crazy on me. I also love

As a server, you'd be surprised how many times someone leaves the table to "go to the restroom" just to find me and pre-tip because whoever they are with (usually old grandparents, but occasionally shitty bosses/etc) isn't going to tip me the full amount. I am always so thankful since usually in these situations the

Omg I forgot about the Aunt Jemimas! Must have blocked that from my memory.

I'll never understand why I thought it was good as a child. And I had a mother who cooked incredible southern food EVERY day. I'm talking a salad to start, meat, vegetables, a starch and a peach cobbler waiting in the oven. Either I was really stupid or the food used to be better, which is possible considering what

Wow.... If you have to ask guests to report it, holy shit. Also I feel like a sign like that would encourage people to make shit up, thinking they would get something for free. Hmmm.

It's probably Tilapia, which isn't even real fish. It's my litmus test for shitty restaurants (like when you're on a road trip and have no choice but to decide between one shitty chain restaurant or another if you want anything other than fast food) if they have Tilapia on the menu there's no way I'll set foot in the

My girlfriend and I did the same thing on our last road trip. I had fond childhood memories so we decided to check out CB for old times sake. Big mistake. The good was pure shit, but that was the least of our worries. We were either in south GA or north Fl (is there a difference?) and I'm sure you can imagine how

Say thank you, no matter how unobtrusive and seamless the service is. I know I'm not a ninja, filling your water glass and slipping away completely unseen.

You've got it!

Depends where you are, I think. When I worked at local bars, or during my brief and torturous stint at schmoutback Schmeakhouse, I also loved it. At higher end restaurants it is considered rude, not that most people intend for it to be, of course.

Even more common is the "verbal tip." As soon as a server hears a table gushing (not just a compliment, but multiple compliments) about their service, the food, etc etc, we know it's the KOD. Aka the kiss of death. Most likely you're getting a really shitty tip, if any at all, and they are going to tell you that next

Agreed. If you feel the need to stack your plates then just know where you are. Local bar? Stack. Breakfast chain? Stack. Cheesecake Factory? Sure, stack. Casual fine dining/fine dining? Please no. Don't move anything around, I will be back soon with open hands to clear from the right. But if you DO stack anyway, then

I agree with both sides here. When a table stacks their plates and I know they aren't doing it to be facetious (which occasionally does happen) then I appreciate the gesture, even though I would prefer they didn't do it. But I work in fine dining, so to a manager or another guest it looks like I can't do my job and

Awe, I'm glad they came back. You're right, they could have just continued on their way and never thought about it again. Anyone going out of their way to come back to a restaurant and tip is awesome!

I'm glad they didn't mind the wait. Just because you're in some movies doesn't mean you deserve to eat before anyone else.

I've posted this before, but I feel like after the past few weeks of news stories it is actually relevant and not just gossip for the sake of gossip. I work at a nice restaurant in Atlanta (where they seen to film everything these days due to tax breaks) and my restaurant is also full of celebrities, not just people

That's so weird, my dad had the same rule about ear piercings. I was allowed to get them done when I was old enough to ask for them myself. So my mom taught me how to ask when I was two. She found the loophole!

Thats disgusting.

Get a life and get off this site with your ignorant slut shaming!
