So Michelle Obama went into the future to plagiarize a talking horse? I mean, she seems very capable so I wouldn’t say it’s beyond her abilities, but it doesn’t sound like the FLOTUS I know.

I’m familiar with non-Western ideals, and I’m saying it’s not reasonable even for Korea. One of the other sides to the common “it’s all relative” argument is that many Westerners seemingly assume Asian countries are either inherently unknowable or inherently less progressive. That’s simply not the case.

A woman wanting a friend over a hero in a relationship is a rather reasonable opinion no matter where you are in the world today. Obviously there is push back in some places, but Korea is a nation with plenty of modern views on women overcoming archaic ones.

“I mean, sure, many feminists are annoying, and all I hear about them sounds like they are brain-dead”

Suicide Squad, a wacky caper in which a goth lit major and an Insane Clown Posse devotee get together to fix Jared Leto’s hair crisis.

THAT’S A NICE COMMERCIAL LOOK YOU HAVE GOING TODAY, I THINK IT’S GREAT YOU DON’T ASPIRE TO ANYTHING TOO AMBITIOUS WITH YOUR FASHION

I decided I’m going to laugh at unfunny jokes women tell and sit quietly the next time I hear a man try to be funny. I fully expect to be honor killed for it, but at least I’ll have died pissing off a man.

The reaction is such sexist bullshit. It made the most money of any live-action comedy this year, outgrossed expectations, got 76% positive on Rotten Tomatoes — and it’s still a disappointment because, I dunno, it didn’t cure cancer and earn $100 million overnight.

LOL the cadaver line. And defs agree on the word-of-mouth; even the people who were holding out on Facebook, all “I JUST DON’T THINK IT’LL BE VERY FUNNY” might be brought around by the amount of positive feedback.

Me and all my nerd friends went to see it (separately) over the weekend and loved it. It was awesome and your life will be sadder for lacking it. :’(

I saw it twice, and loved it BOTH TIMES. I want to marry Kate McKinnon. Every line she had made me crack up, especially the, “I can think of seven good uses for a cadaver TO-DAY,” exchange.

She was AMAZING.

I made a point of going last Saturday (and taking my 6-year old and my 4-year old even though the movie is PG-13) so that I’d contribute to the numbers. The whole sexist troll controversy made me defensive of this movie - I’ve never had that before.

I loved when Kate McKinnon’s character asked Kristin Wiig’s character how she could stand to wear pointy-toe high heels and Wiig said they’re terribly uncomfortable.

I’M SURPRISINGLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS.

You have no idea how happy that detail made me.

I’m still trying to figure out who’s supporting who and who’s a fake, but I’ll be honest, I’m exhausted and Chritter strikes me as a creepo.

Got my popcorn.
