Yeah, I agree with the others. That ship sailed long before instagram knew what #overland was. Off-roading road bikes has long been a tradition, and the scrambler/ADV world has been going strong for years.

There is a group of dealers (not sure I should let the name loose or not) in the DFW area (north Texas) that are amazing. All owned by one family, but spread out around the cities. They’ve treated my wife so well that she won’t buy from anyone else, and that seems to be a common sentiment.
I owned this car. I loved (still love) this car. 2002 quattro hardtop.
I don’t have much to add on the finance side of this equation, but I do have one HARD rule when it comes to financing a car: I never finance for longer than the warranty period (may require basic math and estimates of how much you drive a year).
