You can sometimes do OK with snow depth > ground clearance, though there’s obviously a limit. My STI (on Hakka R2s) is fine in 6-7" of snow, for example, though if you exceed about 15-20mph, the snow cloud that the front bumper kicks up makes it kind of hard to see...

That was how my NB Miata was. It was great, until you literally couldn't make forward progress, because it was so close to the ground.

All the diffs are probably welded shut. Tracks don’t work as well if only half the half shafts are spinning.
