Think you are confusing the first gen allroad and the current one. The current allroad is just a A4 Avant with a suspension lift. Nothing special to break. According to both reliability websites(CR/TrueDelta) the A4/allroad have average or better reliability.

Fast and rugged but no Subaru or crossovers.
